Dr. Curtis Varnell is a lifelong resident of Logan County. He spent 26 years as a teacher for Paris School District, and currently serves as the Science Specialist for the Guy Fenter Educational Cooperative in Western Arkansas. He received his Doctorate degree in Geology from UofA, has published several books and more than 20 journal articles and teacher booklets. Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Friend.
Area teachers experienced outdoor education at a recent workshop held at the Huckabee River Valley Nature Center. Held in collaboration with the Guy Fenter Education Cooperative, sixteen area teachers received a hands-on experience of the educational opportunities offered to students by the nature center.
