Tina Siddons Hunt for City Council

I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself and how I hope to serve you if elected.

I have lived in Booneville most of my life, apart from my college years. After graduating from Booneville High School, I received my BA from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Later I obtained my AR Nursing Home Administrators License. Currently, I work for Access Medical Clinics of AR, working primarily with nursing home providers. I have over 15 years of experience in employee management as well as preparing and monitoring multimillion dollar budgets.

My most important job is at home. I am a wife to Bobby, and we have two sons at home. Cam is 17 and a senior at BHS, and Clint is 14 and a freshman at BJHS. We also have two grown children, Dara Hunt Cotner and Brendan Hunt. We are members of the First Baptist Church in Booneville, where I serve on the tech team and the Budget and Finance Committee. I also serve on the Logan County Library system board of directors. In my spare time, I love watching my boys play sports, reading the latest book from the library book club, and enjoying our sweet pup Maya and our lazy cat Fluffy.

Why am I running for City Council? We all want change in some form. I’m no exception. I want to see Booneville moving in a positive direction, and I want to do my part. I also want to see complacency take a backseat to progress. I want this to be a town that my boys can raise a family in if they choose to do so. I want to use my knowledge and experience to help accomplish those things. I don’t take fiscal responsibility lightly, especially when it comes to taxpayer funds. I know that nothing happens overnight, but it can’t begin until the citizens of Booneville are active and heard. Your vote matters and I hope that you will vote Tina Hunt for City Council. Early voting begins October 24th.

I’ll close with this. When I decided to run for this position, three words kept coming to mind: Accountability, Consistency, Integrity. That is what I hope to bring to the table, and that is what I believe the citizens of Booneville deserve.
